The Natural Approach:
Using Yoga to Overcome Pain & Trauma

Listen to the audio version here

Molly Birkholm is an iRest Yoga Nidra teacher and leader in yoga for the trauma-sensitive.

Through her personal experience of trauma and post-traumatic stress, Molly discusses how pain - both physical and emotional - changes us. She describes how finding yoga led her on a journey to confront her pain and relearn how to feel safe in her body. Birkholm believes that pain brings us to our mats and, ultimately, brings us to a place of unexpected peace.

Join Molly for an inspiring interview that ends with us all closing our eyes as she leads listeners through a short yoga nidra practice to help us discover (and perhaps even dislodge) areas of pain and tension.

In this interview you'll also learn...

  • How yoga understands pain and our relationship with it
  • The lingering power that emotional pain and trauma exert on the body
  • Why some have come to view their pain as a gift
  • What pain exploration is and how iRest yoga nidra can help

Quote From This Interview To Inspire You

"If the body is a place where pain is present and where bad memories are present, it doesn’t feel safe or healthy to be there."
