In this kickoff to our second week, Dr. Svoboda introduces listeners to the ancient practice of Ayurveda, the “sister science” of yoga aimed at guiding us to optimal health.

Dr. Svoboda highlights the relationship between our bodies and our environment and how western medicine might fall short in addressing some of our health needs. You'll learn why your own voice just might matter most.

Dr. Svoboda is the first Westerner to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. He is the author of more than a dozen books, including Ayurveda: Life, Health, and Longevity, and Nicole's personal favorite, Ayurveda for Women: A Guide to Vitality and Health.
